I love these two women. I love the sun.
For a quick moment on Saturday morning they came together beautifully.

C and I took the kids camping last weekend. Have you ever taken a 4 year old and a 16 month old camping? It was quite an adventure.
Sophie and I were the early risers. While Nick and C slept, Sophie and I had milk and coffee, respectively, munched on some tasty fruit salad, and stole a few moments to make some photos of each other at the campsite. This one of my sweet little girl and I is my fave.
My son Nick and I built a little city in his room a couple of weeks ago. After playing for a while he decided to break out his camera and photograph the different parts of the city.

And did you get what
you wanted from this life, even so?
I did.
And what did you want?
To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth.
My son Nick received a digital camera for his birthday. He’s really enjoying it so far. Here are a few photos from the first batch.

Not bad for a four-year-old.

Four years ago today my life changed forever. Cheers to the greatest little dude I know.

My son Nick, three or so months shy of turning four, and I, just over one month shy of turning 38, on are on our way home in my car. We had the following conversation:
Nick: Let’s listen to some tunes!
Me: Okay! How about Dinosaur Jr.?
Nick: Are they real dinosaurs?
Me: Ummm, kind of.
Nick: Yeah, okay.
[Dinosaur Jr. music plays on the car stereo.]
Nick: When do the dinosaurs begin to roar?
